Note: We require a credit card pre-authorization to keep on file in case of incidentals. A 10% tax and a 3.6% PSP fee are applied to the insurance deductible.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Camper van bookings are typically made a few weeks or even months in advance, so cancellations near the start of a rental date are difficult to rebook last minute.

Cancellation up to 60 days before rental start date - 100% refund

All cancellations requests should be submitted before 6pm JPST

You must have a valid drivers license and international driving permit/JAF Translation in order to drive in Japan and book a car. We will request to see a scan or photo of each as a part of the booking process.

ETC Rental

An ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) card in Japan is a prepaid or postpaid card used with an in-vehicle ETC device to automatically pay highway tolls without stopping at toll booths. It offers convenience, discounts on certain routes, and is widely used for smoother travel on Japan’s expressways.

Initial Flat Rate & Deposit for ETC Card Rental: An initial flat rate of 20,000 JPY applies to ETC card rentals for our camper van and other vehicle rentals.

Post-Rental Adjustments: After the rental period, we will assess the actual costs. If there are any excess charges above the initial amount paid, we will bill the customer for the difference. The customer will also be billed an ETC service charge of 1,000 JPY + 10% tax and a payment service provider fee of 3.6%. Conversely, if the total charges are less than the amount paid, we will process a refund for the difference.

Can I change the pickup or drop off location? We prefer not to but can customize it for an additional fee.

How far are you allowed to take the camper vans? Anywhere in Japan.
Can you take pets in the vans? Small dogs are okay in our larger vans. Please ask ahead.
Do the vans have navigation? We provide a mount for your phone so you can download your route from Google Maps.
Are there set check-in and check-out times? Yes, however, exact check-in and check-out times may differ depending on different factors not limited to staff availability and Van return / cleaning schedule after previous bookings. We also have virtual check-in and check-out options.
Can I leave luggage with you? Yes, we can hold your luggage for a small fee of 400 JPY per night per piece.
Can I use the portable gas stove inside the van? No, please only use the portable gas grill OUTSIDE of the van as using it inside the van can be dangerous.
